The Center for Religious Studies (FBK-ISR) to organize international conference “Arguing Religion” in collaboration with the Humboldt-University Berlin and the University of Freiburg


In collaboration with the German research project “Tiefe Meinungsverschiedenheiten/Deep Disagreements”, based at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, the Center for Religious Studies (FBK-ISR) is organizing an international conference entitled “Arguing Religion: Disagreement, Recognition, and the Reach of Argumentative Debate”. As part of the research activities under the ISR project “Arguing Religion” (Boris Rähme and Paolo Costa), the  co-financed conference will be hosted by FBK-ISR in Trento on 6-8 June 2017. Various internationally renowned scholars in philosophy of religion, religious studies, and philosophy of law have confirmed their participation as speakers – making this a truly international event with participants from Finland, Sweden, Austria, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Canada, and Italy.
