Raphaël Durante received a Master’s Degree in Political Sciences and European Governance from the University of Luxembourg in June 2016. In addition to issues related to the organization and the functioning of the European Union, He focused on democracies and wrote his master thesis on theoretical and practical conceptions of sortition in democracy. Raphaël did a four-months internship at the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg and a five-months internship at the Council of Europe in the Directorate General of Democracy (DGII). After that, he obtained a scholarship from FBK, which allowed him to join the ISR team as a PhD candidate in May 2017. This PhD project is the result of a collaboration between FBK and the University of Luxembourg.
