Places, transformations, memories Trento between past and present in the interdisciplinary project CICATRICI
BUC – Biblioteca Universitaria Centrale
Via Adalberto Libera 3, Trento
The CICATRICI project investigated the marks left on the fabric of the city of Trento, the transformations that have taken place in certain key places and the social and cultural processes involved in those alterations or, sometimes, wounds.
CICATRICI integrated historical, geographical, and sociological research and experimented, through the use of digital technologies, with solutions for participatory reflection on the urban, social, and cultural evolution of Trento.
The final event presents the work carried out with particular attention to the area of the city interested by the former Michelin factory. This has led to the creation of a digital archive of historical photos documenting the life of the factory and its relationship with Trento, a series of interviews with citizens, and a 3D reconstruction that links images and testimonies to an engaging visualisation of the area and its changes over time.
