What remains of the body, how does the body affect the mind and how does our mind determine the body’s dynamics, movements and evolutions? In the book “Corpo, Umano” Vittorio Lingiardi, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, tackles some of the questions concerning corporeity by going through three different rooms, that of the ‘remembered body’, the ‘detailed body’ and the ‘rediscovered body’. Starting with therapeutic listening, Lingiardi takes us on an adventurous journey inside the body, celebrating its anatomy without separating it from its poetics. Blood and cells, symbols and memories. Until we discover that, in a world in danger of losing it, the only way to rediscover the body is to narrate it.
