Walking on the earth tiptoe: care and spirituality
FBK-ISR International Seminar 2022
Care and spirituality are terms deeply interrelated, since the ancient times. We observe today an irruption of spirituality in medicine and a renewed interest in the contribution that spirituality can bring in spaces and dynamics of care. Care can be extended to the different forms of life and can be thought as an attitude towards the earth itself.
Can spirituality represent a way of acting and interacting in the world and of taking care of it? Which is the relationship between religions and spirituality? In a historical phase of re-emergence of conflicts and planetary tensions, can spirituality represent and bring any contribution?
Loreta Rocchetti, a physician, and Simone Penasa, a jurist, will dialogue with Sandro Spinsanti, psychologist and bioethicist, after reading his book “Sulla terra in punta di piedi. La dimensione spirituale della cura” (Il Pensiero Scientifico Editore, Rome 2021).
