Publications
ISR’s researchers publish the results of their work in the Center’s journal and book series, as well as in national and international scientific journals and volumes (see personal profiles in People).
The Center’s publications are generally subject to peer review. Publications are realized in print and/or digital format, and some of them are available in open access.
The editorial team of FBK carries out the editing of the texts published by the Center.
Annali di Studi Religiosi
“Annali di studi religiosi” is the journal of the Centro per le Scienze Religiose (ISR) of the Fondazione Bruno Kessler. It appears once a year and publishes articles both by the Center’s researchers as well as outside academics on topics related to religious transformations with special emphasis on the contemporary context.
The publication was launched in 2000, and is published starting from 2024 by the publisher Aracne/Adiuvare. It boasts an internationally renowned editorial board and uses double-blind peer review. The Annali are a multilingual journal.
“Annali di studi religiosi” has been awarded “Class A” by ANVUR (sectors A5 Discipline demoetnoantropologiche and C3 Filosofia morale).

Religion and Technology Springer Series
Religion and Advanced Technology focuses not only on digital culture but encompasses a wider range of advanced technologies, as well as its broader exploration of belief systems beyond just religion. The series uses a wider lens to allow for a more holistic exploration of how technology impacts our worldviews, moral judgments, and philosophical perspectives, in addition to religious practices and beliefs. The series will also place a strong emphasis on the ethical and ideological implications of technological advancements.

The “Tridenti” series
“Tridenti” is a series by the FBK Center for Religious Studies, launched in 2025 and published by EDB. It features essays on key themes in contemporary research in theology and religious studies. The title pays homage to the city of Trento, but also reflects the series’ aim to bring together multiple perspectives on the issues explored in the volumes, thereby providing a stereoscopic and dialectical view of the religious phenomenon.
