Georgiana Diana Apostica
- Tirocinante PhD
PhD candidate in the DREST program at the University of Turin, completing a dissertation titled “Beyond Obligation: Orthodox Feminist Bioethics and Assisted Reproductive Technologies,” supervised by Prof. Massimo Giuliani and co‑supervised by Prof. Ronit Irshai. My research examines how halakhic reasoning encodes theological commitments and how those implicit choices shape women’s agency in Jewish procreative practice. I combine philosophical and theological analysis of classical Jewish sources (Talmud, midrash, medieval rabbinics) with feminist bioethics and meta‑halakhic inquiry. I welcome collaborations on projects in Jewish law, reproductive bioethics, and theology.
