The practice of translation plays a crucial role in every religious experience, which is by definition involved in bridging the gap between the visible and the invisible, the human and the divine. But translating is never an easy task, as is shown by the efforts of mechanizing the translating job by experts of AI.
The overlap of these two different paths of innovation makes possible a fruitful exchange between the practitioners of Religious Studies and Communication Technology and resonates, therefore, with the mission of the Centre for Religious Studies to engage with innovation in religion and through religion.
