“Everyday religious practices in postsecular cities can be located in the most unexpected places”, so wrote Massimo Rosati in his last book published posthumously, The Making of a Postsecular Society: A Durkheimian Approach to Memory, Pluralism and Religion in Turkey (Ashgate, 2015, p. 66), indicating how in contemporary societies religions continue to be transforming social facts. Rosati’s observation invites us, today, to continue his reflection, seeking to investigate in what forms and in what spaces the sacred inhabits our societies. Adopting this point of view, the seminar intends to put disciplinary perspectives and case studies into dialogue, with particular attention to two spatial dimensions that Rosati had already considered with deep interest: the offline and the online.
