Places of worship and multi-religious spaces: a study on the Trentino area. TESEO Kick Off

Sala Conferenze della Fondazione Caritro
Via Calepina, 1
38122 Trento
In multireligious contexts, even religious space and the materiality of the sacred are affected by forms of negotiation and rethinking aimed at making coexistence more inclusive. In this scenario, the TESEO project proposes an interdisciplinary study on the relationship between religious organizations, communities and sacred space with particular attention to the perspectives opened on the Trentino territory for the design and 3D reconstruction of multi-faith places through a participatory methodology and the support of digital humanities.
In dialogue with the research on the spatial and geographical forms of religious encounter of which it proposes an epistemological and methodological advancement, TESEO continues and develops the analysis of religious plurality and the right to worship already initiated by the Bruno Kessler Foundation’s Center for Religious Sciences and the Department of Humanities at the University of Roma Tre.
The event presents the project, which has the support of Fondazione CARITRO, and initiates the confrontation with the territory by promoting the active participation of the religious communities that inhabit it, in an exercise of discussion and confrontation around the possible spatial modes of coexistence.
The event is public and will be recorded and shared on the official channels of the organizers.
