The 2017 Report on freedom of religion or belief prepared by ISR

11 September 2018

The report is based on the research undertaken also by FBK, the University of Luxembourg and the Cambridge Center on Religion & International Studies.

The analysis is not confined to the violations of freedom of religion or belief in third countries, but it also takes into account the possible leverage that the EU might have on these countries and their relevance for EU foreign policy.

Pasquale Annicchino, who took part to the research with Marco Ventura and Valeria Fabretti from FBK, attended the launch of the report at the European Parliament in Brussels. In line with the Centre’s Mission, the participation to the research consolidates and continues FBK-ISR’s work on the multi-faceted relations between religion and institutional innovation in contemporary societies.
