Deborah Sabrina Iannotti

Deborah S. Iannotti è ricercatrice presso il Centro di Studi Religiosi della Fondazione Bruno Kessler di Trento, Italia, occupandosi del rapporto tra nuove tecnologie e Religione, in particolare il rapporto tra AI (Intelligenza Artificiale) ed Ebraismo.

I suoi interessi di ricerca coprono un ampio spettro gamma di questioni interconnesse tra religioni e nazionalismo, diaspore religiose e tutela delle minoranze religiose, paradigmi teorici nello studio delle religioni e processi di decolonizzazione dei discorsi religiosi, con particolare attenzione al rapporto tra genere e religione e teoria intersezionale.

Deborah S. Iannotti is a researcher at the Centre for Religious Studies at the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento, Italy, where she investigates the relationship between new technologies and Religion, especially the relationship between AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Judaism.

As a researcher, she covers empirical and theoretical research on issues of nationalism, self-determination, problems of state-formation, ethnic conflict, minority protection under the lenses of religious studies. Her research interests cover a wide range of interconnected issues between religions and nationalism, religious diasporas and religious minorities’ protection, theoretical paradigms in the study of religions, and the decolonization processes of religious discourses, with a focus on the relationship between gender and religion and intersectionality theory.
