I am a doctoral candidate at the Italian Doctoral School of Religious Studies (DREST), affiliated with the University of Turin.

I completed my academic training in philosophy at the University of Trento, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. For my Master’s thesis, under the supervision of Professor Massimo Giuliani, I explored Assisted Reproductive Technologies in Jewish and Israeli Legal Thought. My main focus was on the evolution of Jewish legal reasoning as a symbiotic relationship between normativity and religiosity, particularly in the context of modern reproductive technologies.

Afterwards, I pursued further specialization in bioethics by attending the Master’s program in Maternal and Child Bioethics at LUMSA University in Rome. Under the guidance of Professor Laura Palazzani and Monsignor Renzo Pegoraro, I deepened my understanding of bioethics and medical ethics. This experience encouraged me to further investigate the intersection between religious studies, ethics, and the complex moral questions raised by emerging medical technologies. In this context, under Monsignor Pegoraro’s supervision, I wrote a thesis titled Reproductive Biotechnologies in Jewish Thought: Beyond the Sphere of the Law.

My current doctoral project at DREST reimagines contemporary ethics of procreation in Jewish thought by moving beyond strictly Halakhic frameworks. I explore the role of narrative, belief, and mysticism as alternative or complementary sources of bioethical reasoning. Through an interdisciplinary approach, I investigate how these dimensions shape Jewish responses to reproductive technologies. The project aims to bridge the gaps between normative ethics, lived experience, and theological imagination.
