As a partner of the G20 Interfaith Forum and Fondazione per le scienze religiose (FSCIRE), the Italian convener of the 2021 G20 Interfaith Forum Italy , as a part of our mission on religion and innovation as articulated in the Strategic Plan 2019-21 and in our booklet Religion & Innovation at FBK, our Centre is organising the following events:
1. The “Ahead of the 2021 Italy G20 Summit” webinar series
The series will be launched on Thursday, 6 May 2021, at 3:00 PM CEST. Our opening speakers will be Prof. W. Cole Durham, Founding Director, International Center for Law and Religion Studies, Brigham Young University, Prof. Katherine Marshall, Executive Director, World Faiths Development Dialogue and Vice President, G20 Interfaith Association, and Prof. Alberto Melloni, Secretary, Fondazione per le scienze religiose (FSCIRE). The panel will be moderated by our researcher Pasquale Annicchino.

2. The webinar on Wednesday, 5 May 2021, at 3:00 PM CEST on Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities, in partnership with the Working Group on Research and Innovation for Science, Technology and Infrastructure of the G20 Interfaith Forum
The one hour event will feature the following speakers: Peter Asaro (Associate Professor in the School of Media Studies at the New School in New York City), Kanta Dihal (Senior Research Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, University of Cambridge), John Markoff (Journalist and Research Affiliate, Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence, Stanford University), Illah Nourbakhsh (K&L Gates Professor of Ethics and Computational Technologies at Carnegie Mellon University) e Selma Sabanovic (Associate Professor of Informatics and Cognitive Science, Indiana University – Bloomington).

3. The two webinars on religious diplomacy in partnership with the University of Siena on 4 May 2021, at 4:00 PM CEST with Sherrie Steiner (Purdue University Fort Wayne) and James Christie (University of Winnipeg), and on 18 May 2021, at 4:00 PM CEST with Alberto Melloni (Fondazione per le scienze religiose, FSCIRE).
