Tommaso Ropelato
- Tirocinante PhD
I am a PhD candidate in philosophical and religious studies at Università degli Studi di Torino, where I research the ethical implications of repro-genetic biotechnologies and the use of AI in reproductive decision-making. I hold a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Università di Trento, where I graduated with honors.
My PhD project has as its object the analysis of the informed consent device in the context of repro-genetic technologies.
As one of the Horizon Europe Young Ambassadors 2022, I contribute to the mission of cancer prevention and disease communication. I am passionate about creating and disseminating scientific knowledge that can inform and inspire Responsible Innovation for a better future.
I founded Prismag, a monthly magazine that covers topics such as innovation, culture, and society, and AlterThink, a blog that won the “Economie della Fiducia 2021” award from Corriere della Sera as a change-maker project. I collaborate with the daily newspaper “L’Adige” as freelance.
