The project “Hate Speech” of FBK-ISR presented in Paris
In the frame of the project of FBK-ISR “Hate Speech”, within the research line Conflicts, Maria Chiara Giorda’s paper Discours de haine et contre-narrations addresses one of the new tools for fighting against stereotypes linked to religion: the analysis of online “hate speech” and the creation of counter-narratives, which reflect our mission “Religions and Innovation”.
These educational paths have two objectives:
- preventing processes of violent radicalization based on religion
- contrasting the diffusion of stereotypes and prejudices which feed, in particular, “islamophobia” and the manifestation of hatred towards Muslim people
