Massimo Rosati’s investigation revolved around an original interpretation of postsecularity as an option for a self-critical modernity. At the centre of this self-critical potential, he placed cultural phenomena such as ritual practices or collective identities that have often ended up in the cone of shadow into which modern mind tends to relegate things that do not square with a certain normative model of post-traditional subjectivity.

In the fourth of the seminars organized by FBK’s Center for Religious Studies in collaboration with Tor Vegata University, LUISS University, the Laboratory on Religions and Social Change and the University of Roma Tre, Paolo Costa (FBK-ISR) and Stella Casola (University of Milan) will discuss these issues and the conditions that could foster that alliance between religions and an inclusive model of secularism, which Massimo Rosati has tirelessly advocated in the last years of his career.
