Lucia Galvagni is researcher at the Center for Religious Studies of the Bruno Kessler Foundation. She studied Philosophy at the Catholic University in Milan and obtained a PhD in Bioethics at the Medical Faculty of the University of Genova (Italy). Her main research interests are bioethics, clinical ethics and philosophy of medicine, ethics and genetics, narrative ethics and narrative medicine. She is member of healthcare ethics committees of the Autonomous Province of Trento and of the Commission on Research with Animals at the University of Trento.
She taught Bioethics at the University of Pavia (Faculty of Biology and Course on Biotechnology) and at the University of Trento (Course of Biomolecular Sciences and Technologies; Faculty of Philosophy, with J.-F. Malherbe). She has been visiting fellow and affiliate of the Pellegrino Center for Clinical Bioethics of the Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
